• On 5 Apr 1891 he appeared on the census at 50 Neptune Street, Rotherhithe, Surrey as a 17-year-old car van boy. 3
• On 25 Dec 1898 his marriage certificate said that he was a 25-year-old bachelor who worked as a wine cooper and that he lived at 10 St. James's Road, Bermondsey, London. His father, Joseph Rands, was shown as a ship buyer. 1
• On 31 Mar 1901 George appeared on the census at 37 Stanley Buildings. St. Pancras, Middx as a 27-year-old cellarman (wine and spirit). 4
• On 2 Apr 1911 he appeared on the census at 1 Northwold Buildings, Stoke Newington, London as a 37-year-old carman, wine & spirit. 7
• His death was registered during the quarter ended Mar 1918 at the Hackney registration district, with GRO reference vol 1b, page 525. 6
George married Mildred SAUNDERS, daughter of John SAUNDERS and Unknown, on 25 Dec 1898 at St. Anne's Parish Church, Bermondsey, London.1 (Mildred SAUNDERS was born about 1875 in Bermondsey, London 1 4 and died in 1952 8.)
