• On 3 Apr 1881 Emma appeared on the census at 6 West Lane, Rotherhithe, Surrey as a 40-year-old widowed washer and mangler living with her sister Sarah Maria and family. 5
• On 5 Apr 1891 she appeared on the census at 50 Neptune Street, Rotherhithe, Surrey as a 50-year-old widow. 6
• On 31 Mar 1901 Emma appeared on the census at 64 Reculver Road, Rotherhithe, Surrey as a 60-year-old widowed charwoman who was living in the same house as her daughter Annie and family, but as a separate head of household. 7

Emma next married Joseph RANDS, son of Thomas RANDS and Frances STANTON, on 14 Dec 1865 in Bermondsey registration district.1 2 (Joseph RANDS was born about 1798 in Woodbridge, Suffolk 4, christened in 1798 in Woodbridge, Suffolk 15 16 and died before 1874 5 13.)
