• On 2 Apr 1871 Stephen appeared on the census near the Rectory, Stonham Parva, Suffolk as a 40-year-old agricultural labourer. 4
• His death was registered during the quarter ended Dec 1877 at the Bosmere registration district, with GRO reference vol 4a, page 356. 3
• On 5 Jun 1892 his son John's marriage certificate said that he had been an engine driver. 5
Stephen married Rachael PETERS, daughter of William PETERS and Anna Maria PACKER, in 1856.1 (Rachael PETERS was born about 1838 in Stonham Parva, Suffolk 6 and died in 1911 7.)
