On 25 Dec 1880 her marriage certificate said that she was a 20-year-old spinster and that she lived at Vauxhall Cross, Lambeth, Surrey. Her father, Edward Eaton, was a butcher. 1

On 3 Apr 1881 she appeared on the census at 24 Wyvil Road, Lambeth, Surrey as a 20-year-old. 3

On 5 Apr 1891 Mary appeared on the census at 5, Hewlett Terrace, Pulross Road, Lambeth, Surrey as a 30-year-old. 4

On 31 Mar 1901 she appeared on the census at 6 Defoe Road (now Garratt Lane), Tooting Graveney, Surrey as a 40-year-old. 5

On 2 Apr 1911 Mary appeared on the census at 8 Rupert Terrace, London Road, Mitcham, Surrey as a 49-year-old in charge of home who had been married for 30 years with 7 children, all still living. 6

On 10 Jun 1916 she was awarded the probate of her late husband's will. 7
