His father, Alfred Tulip, was a barge builder. 1 • On 15 Sep 1872 his son Alfred's baptism certificate said he was a mariner and he lived at 8 West Lane, Rotherhithe, Surrey. 5 • On 11 Sep 1874 his daughter Sarah's baptism certificate said he was a mariner and he lived at 8 West Lane, Rotherhithe, Surrey. 6 • On 12 Jan 1885 the baptism certificates for his daughter Alice and his sons Charles and William all said he was a mariner and he lived at 6 West Lane, Rotherhithe, Surrey. 7 8 9 • On 4 Sep 1904 his son Alfred's marriage certificate said he was a fireman. 10 • On 28 Jul 1907 his daughter Alice's marriage certificate said he was a mariner. 4 • His death was registered during the quarter ended Sep 1910 at the Greenwich registration district, with GRO reference vol 1d, page 458. 2 Alfred married Sarah Maria COE, daughter of Alfred Abraham COE and Sarah ROLF, on 29 May 1871 in St. George the Martyr, Southwark, Surrey.1 (Sarah Maria COE was born on 4 Jun 1846 in St. Pancras, Middx 3 11 12 13 14 15 16, christened on 26 Jul 1846 in St. Marylebone Parish Church, London 17 and died in 1924 18.)    • Their witnesses were Latimer Palmer and Amelia Palmer. 1
