• On 30 Mar 1851 Frederick appeared on the census at Mortimore House, 6 Stanhope Place, St. Pancras, Middx as a 6-year-old scholar. 4

• On 7 Apr 1861 he appeared on the census at Mortimore House, 6 Stanhope Place, St. Pancras, Middx as a 15-year-old. 5

• On 7 Apr 1861 he also appeared on the census at the Victoria Tavern, 8 Crescent Place, St. Pancras, Middx as a 16-year-old mechanical engineer staying with his brother, Henry, the publican. 6

• On 1 Jun 1867 his marriage certificate said that he was a bachelor of full age and a navigator. His father, Mortimore Timpson (deceased), had been a builder. 2

• On 5 Jul 1868 his son Frederick's baptism certificate said he was a navigator and he lived at 70 Hampstead Road, Marylebone, Middx. 11

• On 2 Apr 1871 Frederick appeared on the census at Lurline Cottage, Cedar Road, Southampton, Hants as a 25-year-old mariner. 7

• On 31 Mar 1901 he appeared on the census at Silverknowe, Cromlech Road, Dunoon, Argyll as a 55-year-old master mariner. 8

• On 4 Jul 1909 his son Francis's marriage certificate said he was a sea captain. 12

• On 24 Jul 1919 he had an entry in the National Probate register, which simply stated that he had died in Argyllshire, Scotland and that the deatils were sealed in London. At the time of his death he was living at Silverknowe, Cromlech Road, Dunoon, Argyll. 10
