• On 7 Apr 1861 Edward appeared on the census in Fletching, Sussex as a 38-year-old unmarried agricultural labourer shown as boarder in his parents' home. 4
• His death was registered during the quarter ended Mar 1870 at the Uckfield registration district, with GRO reference vol 2b, page 89. 5
