On 3 Apr 1881 he appeared on the census at 8 Marlboro Road, Peckham, Middx as a 44-year-old police constable. 3

On 5 Apr 1891 Thomas appeared on the census at 106 Brayards Road, Peckham, Middx as a 54-year-old police pensioner. 4

On 31 Mar 1901 he appeared on the census at 106 Brayards Road, Peckham, Middx as a 63-year-old police pensioner. 5

On 16 Apr 1906 his daughter Kate's marriage certificate said he was a police pensioner. 9

On 24 Oct 1909 his daughter Louis's marriage certificate said he was a police constable (retired). 10

On 2 Apr 1911 Thomas appeared on the census at 85 Ivydale Road, Nunhead, Middx as a 74-year-old police pensioner. 6

On 3 Apr 1904 his daughter Kate's marriage certificate said he was a pensioner. 11
