• On 31 Mar 1901 Francis appeared on the census at 21 Mayfield Road, Levenshulme, Lancs as a 24-year-old mercantile clerk and boarder in the home of William B. Flower. 8
• On 4 Jul 1909 his marriage certificate said that he was a 32-year-old bachelor and merchant and that he lived at 14 Granville Road, Fallowfield, Lancs. His father, Frederick Charles Timpson, was a Sea Captain. 2
• On 2 Apr 1911 he appeared on the census at 12 Swythamley Road, Stockport, Cheshire as a 43-year-old agent and merchant for cotton, woollen and linen textiles. 5
• On 24 Jul 1919 his father's probate record said he was a commission agent. 9
• His death was registered during the quarter ended Jun 1948 at the Southport registration district, with GRO reference vol 10f, page 548. 7
• On 3 Dec 1948 his estate was probated at the Liverpool registry to Elizabeth Aspinall, widow. Effects £292 10s 4d. At the time of his death he was living at 34 Hall Street, Southport, Lancs.
Francis married Lily HOLMES, daughter of John HOLMES and Unknown, on 4 Jul 1909 at Holy Trinity Church, Tulse Hill, London.1 2 (Lily HOLMES was born about 1882 in Manchester, Lancs 2 5.)
