On 3 Apr 1881 Emily appeared on the census at 372 Langsett Road, Nether Hallam, Yorks as a 29-year-old. 5

On 5 Apr 1891 she appeared on the census at 352, Langsett Road, Nether Hallam, Sheffield, Yorks as a 39-year-old. 6

On 31 Mar 1901 Emily appeared on the census at 246 South Road, Nether Hallam, Yorks as a 49-year-old widowed fish shop keeper working on her own account, from home. 7
