On 5 Apr 1891 William appeared on the census at 45 Florence Street, Seaton Carew, Co. Durham as a 43-year-old puddler, rolling mills. 4

His death was registered during the quarter ended Jun 1899 at the Hartlepool registration district, with GRO reference vol 10a, vol 75. 6
