On 30 Apr 1894 he was admitted to Colls Road School, Colls Road, Peckham, Middx and his guardian was William. He did not seek exemption from religious education. 8

On 31 Mar 1901 James appeared on the census at 40 Bellenden Road, Camberwell, Surrey as a 14-year-old grocer's boy. 5

On 2 Apr 1911 he appeared on the census at 9 Ash Street, Walworth, Surrey as a 24-year-old tin maker in a tin and metal works. 6

His death was registered during the quarter ended Mar 1950 at the Lewisham registration district, with GRO reference vol 5d, page 75. 7

On 12 Feb 1911 his marriage certificate said that he was a batchelor and a tin smith and that he lived at 37 Runham Street, Walworth, Surrey.. 1
