(Abt 1873-) |
Annie BARRACLOUGH 1
Annie is shown on the 1881 census as granddaughter of Sence Presswood. She could be the daughter of any one of the Barraclough children shown, or even the legitimate child of another Barraclough son, and who happens to have been staying at Grandma's house for some reason.
• On 3 Apr 1881 she appeared on the census at 50 Carnarvon Street, Nether Hallam as an eight-year-old. 1 • On 5 Apr 1891 she appeared on the census at 48 Fentonville Street, Ecclesall Bierlow as an eighteen-year-old whose name was given as Annie Baines. It is not known whether she was formally adopted by her step-father. 3 • On 2 Apr 1911 she appeared on the census at 12 Lydgate Lane, Sheffield as a 38-year-old who had been married for 18 years with one child who was still living. Annie married Arthur Irwin MELLUISH in 1892. (Arthur Irwin MELLUISH was born about 1867 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.)
• Their marriage was registered during the quarter ended Dec 1892 at the Sheffield Registration District, with GRO reference vol 9c, page 868. |
