• He was educated at Hillcross Junior Mixed Primary school from 1953 to 1958 in Morden, Surrey. 3 • He was educated at Rutlish Grammar School, Watery Lane from 1959 to 1966 in Merton Park, Surrey. 3 • From 1966 to 1967 he was employed by British Steel Corporation as a management trainee in Cardiff, Glamorgan. 3 • From 1970 to 1972 he was employed as a Chemical engineer with British Steel Corporation, Chemicals Division in Staveley, Derbyshire. 3 • In 1970 he achieved a B.Sc.(Tech) in Fuel Technology & Chemical Engineering at Sheffield University. 3 • From 1972 to 1974 he was employed as a Computer Programmer with British Steel Corporation in Kenfig, Glamorgan. 3 • From 1974 to 1976 he was employed as a Senior Computer Programmer with Dunlop and Rankin in Leeds, Yorks. 3 • From 1976 to 1979 he was employed as a Contract Programmer with Data Logic in Manchester, Lancs. 3 • From 1979 to 1983 he was employed as a Systems and Software Programmer with the Bank of Bermuda in Hamilton, Bermuda. 3 • On 17 Jan 1984 he emigrated to Australia with his family. 3 • From 1984 to 1989 he was employed as a Technical Services Manager with Barclays in Sydney, NSW. 3 • He received his Australian citizenship on 30 Jan 1988 in Castle Hill, NSW. 4 • From 1989 to 1992 he was employed as the Technical Services Manager with the Credit Reference Association in Sydney, NSW. 3 • From 1992 to 1993 he was employed as a Contract Programmer in Sydney, NSW. 3 • From 1993 to 2004 he owned the Edgewater Motel at Burrill Lake, NSW. • He retired on 3 Sep 2004.
